Choosing A Driving Instructor

So, you've decided to start learning to drive? The very 1st thing that a lot of people do is to spend some time on the computer going through loads of search engine listing, searching for things like 'driving lessons chelmsford'. Although you get to look at a lot of school, the main downside with this though, is that you don’t really know how good a driving instructor is until you’ve met them.

A better way is to speak to friends and family who have passed their driving test recently. Ask them what they thought of the instructorthat taught them, and whether they would recommend them. This way you’re getting views from people you can trust and you stand a good chance of getting a decent driving instructor first time.

However, if no-one can help you, then the Internet is the next best thing. One piece of advice is don’t go with the first one you see. It is worth looking through several pages of search results and looking at a few pages of driving schools and making a shortlist of three. Look for things like website with lots of information about learning to drive and also details on the instructors. Although it is not essential, a lot of driving instructors take extra training to improve their skills. This is also something you can look for while making your decisions.

Then contact these driving schools and see which one seems to be the most helpful, and if you're happy, book your first lesson

Once you’ve chosen your driving school, remember if you don’t get on with your driving instructor, don’t be afraid to change. In the long run, it may be better to change instructors instead of continuing with driving lessons you are not enjoying. Plenty of people stay with a bad driving instructor because they think all instructors are the same.
